San Jose Occidental Mindoro exposes its tourist potentials

SAN JOSE, Occidental Mindoro, May 15 (PIA) --- The municipality of San Jose is serious in its bid to be included in the country’s major tourist destination after it showcased its tourist spots in a television show featuring what could be its best tourist attractions.
According to Mayor Jose T. Villarosa, he was elated when the host and crew of TV show Trip na Trip ng Bayan, visited the town and its tourist spots.
Among those areas visited was the Grace island resort off the shore of San Jose, an island cove with floating villas and a breathtaking scenery which will surely mesmerized one’s senses. The famous Devil’s mountain of Mindoro and Mt. Batasan was also visited by the crew.
Also included in the itinerary was the Mindoro Tamaraw Conservation Center at San Jose. Tamaraw or the Mindoro dwarf buffalo is considered as an endangered species and being preserved by the center.
Inasakan beach resort of Ilin island in San Jose, Occidental Mindoro was also visited. The resort features a powdery white sand with crystal clear water and can be compared to Boracay minus the crowded beach -- indeed a place worth visiting.
According to Ms. Katherine De Castro, host of the television program, she was surprised at the beauty of San Jose and if given the chance, she will return to the place, not to work, but to enjoy the beauty of the place with her family on a vacation.
The residents of San Jose believes that the tourist spots in their area are at par, if not more beautiful, than other well known tourist spots in the country. They hope that Filipinos and foreigners alike will come and see for themselves what they have discovered in San Jose, Occidental Mindoro.
