"You know I like the song 'Got to Believe in Magic.' There's this line there that says 'Tell me how two people find each other.' Well now she found someone. Ako kasi tinatanong ko pa din sa sarili ko how do people find each other? Siya nasagot na niya," Aquino said.
The President said that he knows the family of Romulo but refused to answer if he will attend the wedding if ever the couple invites him.
"Kapag sinagot ko ang tanung mong 'yan para ko namang sinabi na imbitahin nyo ako. Pag sinabi ko di ako dadalo parang sasabihin nyo may sama ako ng loob... walang tamang sagot dyan," he said.
Last week, the President refused to comment on the issue.
Presidential spokesperson Edwin Lacierda said he told Aquino about the news during a break in a meeting yesterday.
Asked how the President reacted, Lacierda said, “Nothing. He just said, ‘Oh, I was not aware’ and we went to the topic at hand.”
“Walang reaksyon. He just said, ‘I was not aware,’” Lacierda said. “There was no reaction. I don’t know if you could describe that as ignoring but we went straight to the topic at hand.” - Nadia Trinidad
