Joey Salgado, spokesman for Vice President Jejomar Binay, said they will ask the concerned goverment agencies to look into it.
In response to the hacking incident, the Office of the Vice-President (OVP) said: "It is quite unfortunate that certain groups have been able to hack the official website of the Office of the Vice President."
"We have already contacted the concerned government agencies and have asked them to look into the matter. We are hoping that this issue will be speedily resolved," the OVP. said.
Malacanang earlier expressed concern over the hacking incidents reported in the news lately.
Recent hacking incidents were reported in the Philippine Gazette and agencies such as the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority.
In a statement, Presidential Spokesperson Edwin Lacierda said “the National Security Adviser is studying the creation of a task force to undertake a security review of government websites.”
Foreign countries are also on alert over so-called phishing attacks lately, which specifically targeted high government officials, Chinese political activists and journalists.
