Jason Francisco finally addressed the issue that Azkals player Jerry Barbosa has a crush on his reel and real life sweetheart Melisa "Melai" Cantiveros. Contrary to speculations that he is jealous, Francisco said he sees nothing wrong if there are other guys who express their admiration for Cantiveros.He added that he is actually proud that other guys are also attracted to his girlfriend.
"Proud ako kasi may humahanga sa kanya, sa kanyang pagpapatawa, sa kanyang personality, sa lahat. Humahanga sa kanya 'yon," Francisco said at a press conference for his and Cantiveros' first movie together, "The Adventures of Pureza: Queen of the Riles."
The actor said it's just normal for people to admire someone.
"Kahit naman kasi ako, may hinahangaan ako--sina Maja Salvador at si Kim Chiu," he said.
Asked if he will allow Cantiveros to meet Barbosa, Francisco replied: "Nasa kanya 'yon. Ako OK lang kung ma-meet niya. Baka gusto lang magpa-picture."
